Arike Ogunbowale
Arike Ogunbowale is a American professional player with the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. She played in the NCAA basketball tournament with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, after which she was drafted by the Wings as the 5th overall selection in the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale, born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2, 1997 to Yolanda Ogunbowale and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale is her 26 year old brother, and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years older. Her parents spoilt her the most due to her being the most young. Gregory Ogunbowale, her father was involved in her father's army, the Nigerian Army quite a while. Ogunbowale has a very energetic family. She has a brother named Dare is a football player as is her mom Yolanda played softball at DePaul. Her aunt Endia Oliver, played volleyball at Tennessee State and her niece was a former volleyball player at UAPB. Ogunbowale was listed on her institution's Honour Roll for three years consecutively. The high school she attended earned her respect and acclaim. Arike graduated in Divine Savior Holy Angels High School that is situated within the town of Arike's birthplace. She was also a part of three varsity seasons while studying at the school. Ogunbowale, with her extraordinary capabilities and skills, helped lead her team to astonishing victories numerous times. In her high-school career she's scored started 73 times and has 1,477 total points. She also lists 739 rebound. Ogunbowale played in the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships 2014 FIBA World U17 Championships 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships which she took home gold medals. The 7th of July 2014 was the day she was also named for the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was named as a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team following her first year of collegiate basketball. Kobe Bryant himself congratulated Ogunbowale following her NCCA Tournament big shot. Ogunbowale may be new to basketball but she has rapidly made herself known. Arike Ogunbowale's wealth stands at about $5 million according to a source. Ogunbowale's abilities aren't restricted to basketball. She also plays soccer and has even won State Cups for the Lake County United Soccer Club. She was also a pianist for many years.
