Young has moved her home to Los Angeles, landing roles as Cathy Metsker and Rachel in JJ Abrams Mission Impossible: 3 with Tom Cruise and Keri Russel. There, Young has made many independent films including The Freebie (starring DaxShepard) as well as A Country Remedy which stars Joshua Leonard. The latter she co-produced with the producers in North Carolina. Young started a diverse and extensive career in television after moving to LA. The 15th of May, 2015 Young released her debut album Far Away So Close on iTunes. Megan Griffiths starred her in The Night Stalker (2016) the crime-thriller film featuring Richard Ramirez. She also was a part in an independent film called Bernard and Huey with Jim Rash as well as David Koechner. She co-starred in Disney's live-action adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time in 2018, along with Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling.
